The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has expressed strong disapproval of the Court of Appeal's ruling that upheld the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule. The party's state chairman, Francis Orogu, issued a statement on Friday, November 24, 2023, expressing the party's deep disagreement with the judgment.
The PDP maintains that the Court of Appeal's decision contradicts the evidence presented during the tribunal proceedings. The party contends that the tribunal's verdict, which declared David Ombugadu of the PDP as the rightful governor, was well-founded and should have been upheld.
In light of this development, the PDP has resolved to seek redress at the Supreme Court. The party remains steadfast in its belief that David Ombugadu is the duly elected governor of Nasarawa State and is committed to pursuing all legal avenues to secure his rightful position.
The PDP's decision to appeal to the Supreme Court reflects the party's unwavering commitment to justice and fair play. The party is confident that the Supreme Court will thoroughly review the case and uphold the truth, ensuring that the will of the Nasarawa people is respected.
